Welcome back and I want to take a look at one aspect of the transport business that involves folks who are moving house or moving office and that is the side of things that involves packing all your stuff up neatly so as to make the move as effortless as possible.
Essentially, what I'm talking about here are the moving containers used to put all your stuff into so that it is not only kept safely together, but is packages in such a way that makes it easy for the moving company people to load it all into the truck. More importantly, to get it all in the trailer as tightly as possible without any wasted space.
This happens when you use moving containers that are all the same size and shape, such as boxes that are designed to stack neatly on top of one another as well as side by side leaving little wasted gaps that, on a trailer, are wasted money. That means that if you are using a LTF transport model, that is a part load of a trailer, then you want your stuff to fit into the square footage that you are paying for and not to spread out to more, which will cost you more.
The nest way to do that is to ensure that your load space is taken up by yoru noxes and not by gaps of fresh air!
Moving boxes that are all the same size fulfil that requirement because they, by nature will stack exactly and leave no gaps whatsoever. This means you are paying for what you are using and not paying for wasted space, which on a large freight load can work out rather more expensive than you may have originally realized.
So there you go. Next time you are thinking about a move, make sure you use some good moving boxes that are all teh same size!
